PPO WindBand, led by conductor Markku Renko, is a wind ensemble of approximately 30 music enthusiasts of different ages. Our rehearsals are held in the Olari School auditorium in Espoo on Tuesdays at 18–21.

PPO WindBand is an Espoo-based ensemble of active wind instrument players. The band includes flutes, oboes, bassoons, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, flugelhorns, French horns, baritone horns, trombones and tubas. Since 2021, our conductor has been trumpeter Markku Renko, Music Educator and MA.

The wind septet Aurora and a saxophone quartet also operate within PPO WindBand. The City of Espoo supports us through cultural grants.

Our versatile repertoire includes music composed and arranged for wind bands, cinema and musical pieces, light music, and older and newer dance music. We also play typical concert band music, such as lively concert marches.

We are happy to perform at different events. You can book the whole PPO WindBand or just the Aurora wind septet or the saxophone quartet. To learn more, please contact Lauri Lipasti.
